Syk plays an important role in mast cell response, initiated by the aggregation of the IgE high affinity receptor Fc epsilon R1. Phosphorylation of ITAMs within Fc receptor R1 by another tyrosine kinase Lyn, results in the recruitment of Syk, which is then responsible for the further phosphorylation of numerous target proteins within many different signal transduction pathwaysFurther studies have shown that Syk also plays a major role in B cell receptor-mediated apoptosis, proliferation and haematopoiesis. Syk is also reported to associate with protein kinase C alpha during platelet activation.||Applications:|Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. ||Recommended Dilutions: |Western Blot: Detects a band of approximately 72kD in Rames & RBL cell lysates.|Optimal dilution determined by the researcher. ||Recommended Secondary Reagents: |I1904-65W: IgG, F(ab’)2 (HRP) Pab RbxMo|I1904-66C: IgG, F(ab’)2, X-Adsorbed (HRP) Pab RbxMo||Storage and Stability:|May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
