-20°CA member of the Endophilin family, Endophilin A1 is a protein containing SH3 domains, and has been implicated in the trafficking of clathrin-mediated synaptic vesicle endocytosis within the membrane. It was originally characterized as a presynaptically enriched protein that binds to endocytic proteins polyphosphoinositide synaptojanin and dynamin. Endophilin A1 has been implicated in endocytic vesicle budding when its function in cell-free systems and in living synapses has been disturbed. Along with the SH3 domain, Endophilin A1 contains a BAR domain in the N-terminal region, that has been found to induce and bind membrane curvature. This protein’s expression is localized to the brain, most specifically in the frontal cortex. Markedly high expression is observed in fetal cerebellum.||Applications: |Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. ||Recommended Dilution:|Western Blot: 1:500|Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.||Positive Control:|Mouse brain tissue lysate.||Storage and Stability:|Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. |Caution: FITC conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.||Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
