GAL4 protein is a transcriptional activator that is required for the expression of genes that encode enzymes of galactose utilization. The N-terminal domain of GAL4 binds to specific DNA sequences and the C-terminal domain contains acidic regions, which are required for activating transcription. GAL4 has been useful in two-hybrid assays for the study of protein-protein interactions.||Applications: |Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, Immunocytochemistry, Immunoprecipitation, FLISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.||Recommended Dilutions:|Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.||Storage and Stability:|Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: APC conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.| |Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
