Bovine interleukin-4 is a 15kD, 135 amino acid peptide which is processed to a mature secreted form with the cleavage of a 24 amino acid, N-terminal signal peptide resulting in a 12.6 kDa active cytokine, the apparent Mw may be altered by glycosylation (Heussler et al. 1992).||IL-4 is expressed by a range of cells including T and B cells, macrophages and monocytes. It plays an important role in the regulation of bovine T and B cell responses.||Applications:|Suitable for use in ELISA and Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. ||Recommended Dilution:|Flow Cytometry: 10ul labels 10e6 cells in 100ul|ELISA: 2-5ug/ml|Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. ||Hybridoma: |Sp2/0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice.||Storage and Stability:|May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
