Vogel and Johnson Agar (Powder)

USP medium for detection of coagulase positive Staphylococcus aureus.||Coagulase-positive strains of S. aureus reduce tellurite and form black colonies on the medium. These strains typically ferment mannitol and exhibit yellow halos around black colonies.
