Hippeastrum hybrid (HHL) (AP)

Alkaline phosphatase (AP) is conjugated to Hippeastrum hybrid Lectin (HHL) to show the binding of HHL in many applications including Western blotting and ELISA. Alkaline phosphatase is a large protein (140kD) that catalyzes the hydrolysis of phosphate groups from a substrate resulting in a colored or fluorescent product. The optimal enzymatic activity of this protein is between pH 8 and 10, and its reaction rate remains linear, improving sensitivity over time.||Activity:|Agglutinates rabbit but not human erythocytes||Carbohydrate Specificity:|alpha-Mannose||Inhibitory Carbohydrate:|alpha(1,3) or alpha(1,6) linked mnnosyl units||Divalent Ions:|None Required||Storage and Stability:|May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
