-20°CAPP is a single-pass, Type I cell membrane protein that rapidly becomes internalized via clathrin-coated pits. During maturation, the immature APP (N-glycosylated in the endoplasmic reticulum) moves to the Golgi|complex where complete maturation occurs (O- glycosylated and sulfated). After alphasecretase cleavage, soluble APP is released into the extracellular space and the C- terminal is internalized to endosomes and lysosomes.|Some APP accumulates in secretory transport vesicles leaving the late Golgi compartment and returns to the cell surface. GammaCTF(59)|peptide is located to both the cytoplasm and nuclei of neurons. It can be|translocated to the nucleus through association with Fe65.||Applications: |Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.||Recommended Dilution:|Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 10-20ug/ml|Western Blot: 10ug/ml|Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.||Positive Control:|Human brain paraffin sections||Storage and Stability:|May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
